That's brilliant, not only because it humiliated our PM.

The Gurkhas deserve the right to settle here, more so than some of the dregs that have landed in this small country and a percentage of the locals.

Disgraceful behaviour by our government on this issue.

I don't get winky's attitude on this one. It seems like he'll do anything to get some popularity and more votes, but pissed a lot of people off with his decision over this.

Is he really that out of touch that he thought the public would not care? Maybe normally they wouldn't, but he has let every Tom, Dick and Harry in, and that's what grates the public imo.

Keith Vaz (Lab), defending the government, actually said in a BBC interview that he was amazed how the government had ended up on the wrong side of this issue as this government had let in more people than any other government.

Don't think he realised how many levels that statement works on.
