Is this his Presbyterian roots causing him to try to buy his place in Heaven through acts of charity and benevolence? If so, I do wish someone would point out to him that these theories in Christian teachings are generally accepted as being conducted with one's own money.

Sadly, when Cameron announced all his cuts yesterday, he confirmed that overseas aid would be protected. £10 billion a year FFS!

India has recently ordered £10.6 billion pounds worth of military aircraft. It has also bought an aircraft carrier and nuclear submarines from Russia. Despite this, we give THEM £1 billion a year in 'aid'!

We even gave China £500 million. A country with the biggest budget surplus on the planet.

Overseas aid I can accept. For countries who need it as a humanitarian aid i.e. there is a flood/landslide, we send in cash to buy goods to assist etc.. BUT simply chucking money hand over fist at nations who hate us I don't understand..

All this aid comes with strings attached. It's either Winky trying to dictate foreign policy, or the other countries demanding aid in exchange for 'help doing business' (ie allowing us to do business in China)
