Order Order.

Following yesterdays budget I move that the house (or in this case the PH membership) have no confidence in the abilities of HM Government as led by the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP and that the Prime Minister should tender his resignation to HM the Queen and that a general election should be called forthwith.

All those in favour etc...

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker to take the cabinet out with some garden chemicals?

I voted yes. I do have confidence in the ability of HMG to act in exactly the way I expect them to. A bunch of venal, nose-in-trough, self serving incompetants is what I expect, and that is what I get. Easier on the blood pressure, that way.

confidence was lost in this party when he said no more boom and bust...the sort of thing a 5 year old would say.....kind of like saying you cant cut your way out of a recession you can only grow out of one...when are these scumbags going to realise a recession is a much need rebalancing of the economy...

even if an election was forced the stupid sheeple will be swayed by these spin or scum doctors again i reckon and nothing has changed their still going back to reckless lending and probably smaller booms and bigger busts due to high debt levels and imf visits...i remeber a few years ago how the lovely man mugable was saying how he admired gordon brown for following his economic policies so there is a possible future for us...

anyway at least old fred the schred is living the good ol life moving to france...

How can you be so stupid? It's obvious that if you have borrowed too much and your ability to pay the interest or repay the debt is in doubt then the way out is to borrow more. Hundreds of thousands of morons have been doing it with credit cards for years. Gordon's just learned from the average type who votes for his party.

So, what you're saying is that Gordon's been on the phone to Ocean Finance to arrange a consolidation loan for the country?

A penny on a pint is all we'll need to take care of that pesky £175b, anyway, it'll all be over by Christmas - oh - expenses, well, they are really difficult things, all businesses have problems with expenses so we'll sort our own out as we like - it's for the greater good.....

If it was a management team instead of a polarized binary political system we'd be able to sack the lot of them.

Whilst waiting to go into a meeting this morning, I flicked through the complimentary newspapers. The Independent had the expected post-Budget analysis.

They had interviewed various 'representative' people; Uni student, young professional, older person etc. About 6 or 7 in total. They also asked how they voted last election and how they plan to vote. All of those who voted Labour before said that they still had faith in the Gord and Ali show. I couldn't believe how blinkered their responses were.

It does seem though, that no matter what they do, there are pleny of folk out there all too willing to see them returned for another term.

their calling it our debt on the news...i have not borrowed beyond my means and i always put money by for a rainy day....why is it my fackin debt when i've done nothing wrong, made no mistakes, my only fault is i like to piss people off on the web its very addictive...and only a complete moron would take on too much debt and then service that debt with more debt and service that debt with more debt from the imf or ocean finance...

By luck I happened to be in the OF office when he called and I heard one side of the conversation.

"Good morning Ocean Finance, Miranda speaking, how may I help you".

"A loan, certainly sir. Can I just take a few details. Your name?"

"Ok Gordon and where are you calling from today?"

"Downing Street. That's nice. And what level of loan will you be looking for today Gordon?"

"£175 billion. Ok Gordon. That's quite a large loan and I will have to run it by my supervisor Pam. What collateral do you have Gordon?"

"Nothing at all? You must have something? How about gold? Have you got any gold?"

"I see. You sold all your gold when the price was at a 20 year low. That was a bit silly wasn't it Gordon? How about 3G phone licences? Do you have any of those?"

"You've already sold those off? I see. What did you do with that money Gordon?"

"It just "seemed to go". I see. Well Gordon you don't seem to have much left to offer do you?"

"What's that? Your soul? Well we do take souls as collateral. Just wait a minute and I'll run a check".

"Sorry Gordon. It says here that you sold your soul last year to a Mr Mandelson in a last ditch attempt to save your skin.....
