A Formal Vote of No Confidence in GB And AD?
Discussion
So what does it take to have this raised by the opposition in Parliament?
If the Government's budget is seen as damaging to the UK as a whole, that financial forecasts are seen as wildly inaccurate by anyone outside of the GOP and that with all the other non-democratic and potentially corrupt actions of the government over the last few months/years you would have thought yesterday's budget would have been enough.
So what has called the vote before and should DC call for one even if it doesn't succeed?

No point in calling for a NC vote on the budget. The only way it can succeed is to call for it on an issue where a good proportion of Labour backbenchers would have a conscience issue and be likely to abstain or vote against. I'm sure Winky and the Leader of the House will be making sure that no such issue gets voted on before the next election...

Can you note vote against a Party then?
Do you mean at general election? What i meant was the opposition forcing an election due tot he fact that the majority of parliament no longer believes that the current government have the competency to run the country, or the support of the public in achieving their goals.
As this is what a VONC is supposed to be for then I was wondering at what point parliaments call for one these days. The Canadians only just had one after all.

Oh I don't think it will pass, though I suspect we may be surprised by the voting figures. The public will have their chance in a year...
I just wonder why it hasn't been called. Its a better and more parliamentary manner of expressing a strong belief in the fact than appearing on the Today Show and telling john Humprhies that you and your party have no confidence in the Labour government.

I suppose it makes sense not to allow this, as the opposition would be voting everyday then
