even though markets are bouncing right now, it seems we are quite happy to ignore the elephant in the room in the form of massive public debt - as far as I can see the pound will get worse (against the euro at least) before it gets better. There is some short term profit taking going on but it's entirely concievable that it could lose another 5/6 cents again quite easily.
