Rental price falls - how far are they going down?

Bit of a variant on the ever popular house prices threads!

Rents are down for both houses and flats in the past year and both still seem to be falling. Are they likely to continue to fall whilst property prices keep falling or are the 2 unrelated? Also, any opinions on where the bottom of the rental market is?

The relationship is that as people cannot sell their homes and decide to rent them out instead we get excess supply!
