Just got my tax renewal (04 honda s2k - in the top or second top band for the year) and was expecting a bill of £265 after the govt u-turn. Got the reminder yesterday and it was £210 for the year. Anyone else had this etc?

The prices on the direct.gov website seem to have changed? If this is a re-post i'll shut up.

Yeah, although in typical fashion, it's been not-very-well communicated by either the Gubberment or the media.

Consider yourself fortunate that you taxed your car this month!

Re: The Thread Title - Not a snowball's chance in hell.

This Govt has no idea what tax reduction means and when it comes to cars it's even worse....

But it would still be £210 next month..... The car is pre-06.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder. Was just wondering whether to get the car back on the road this month or delay. And a fiver's better in my pocket than the idiot's.

tax cuts lol...their make you pay 10% more tax and give you back a 1% tax refund...and their do it by wasting as much money as possible with annoying radio adverts for example...
