"Earth Hour" 8:30-9:30 tonight. So turn everything on.
Discussion
Anti-Earth Hour as well. Turn on every light and appliance you have, screw up their hypocritical climate change garbage.
BBC said:
Several famous UK buildings will be plunged into darkness later as part of a global climate change campaign. The London Eye, The Gherkin, and the BT Tower will be among those taking part in WWF's Earth Hour at 2030 GMT.
The environmental group hopes millions of people around the world will switch off lights. It expects cities and towns in more than 80 countries to take part. WWF want the "visual statement" to show world leaders "the need to take urgent action to tackle climate change".
It hopes public support will convince governments across the world to agree to take action when they meet at the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen in December. Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour. WWF expects 2,800 cities and towns in more than 80 countries to support the event.
Colin Butfield, campaign director for WWF, said a number of "iconic landmarks" such as Buckingham Palace, The Gherkin, Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and the London Eye would be plunged into darkness for an hour to mark the event. He said: "We are hoping it will be quite a positive experience. People are embracing it in all kinds of different ways."
Mr Butfield said the hope was that Earth Hour would encourage people to "think a little bit differently about climate change". And WWF stressed that areas where lighting was a health and safety issue would not be plunged into darkness. Meanwhile, G20 activists have warned companies in the financial sector they will shut down electricity supplies themselves unless the lights go out.
In Scotland, 19 local authorities, 200 schools and more than 100 businesses and organisations agreed to take part. Landmarks such as Eilean Donan Castle, Inverness Castle, Stirling Castle and Glasgow's Clyde Arc (Squinty bridge) and Armadillo will be in darkness as part of the campaign.
The pyramids of Giza, Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building are among other global landmarks expected to go dark.

Perhaps if the title of your thread had mentioned Earth Hour it would have helped then it won't get reposted.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... clearly, have a hot drink, it all makes perfect sense
Which is the only way to check on the same day as the search doesn't pick words up till it updates.

I've just been for a quick drive around the block, (about 200 metres or so), and five of my nieghbors have swallowed this crap and are sitting in darkness.
I'd love to turn more lights on, but I've run out. Both TVs are on, as is the radio, both computers, central heating and gas fire, oven, all exterior lights, and I've just put a load of whites in the washing machine.
Well, when I say a load, all I had was two tea towels and a pair of underpants. Worry not though chaps, I didn't bother to use the halk load setting, and I was sure to put it on at 90oC.
Am I going to hell?
If you're going to have the fire and heating on, you might want to open a few windows or it may get too hot.I'd love to turn more lights on, but I've run out.
