How odd is it of him to cover his face with a WH Smith ring binder?

WTF is that all about? The whole world and it's dog knows what he looks like.

Personally I think he'll kill himself soon because of the shame.

What an odd case.

A conversation at work about him got me thinking.......how much more of this sort of thing is happening out there? Maybe even under our noses?

I have wondered the same thing. You never know what really goes on in peoples houses.

Definitely odds on for a bit of improvised rope-work.

I can't believe he only faces 20 years in prison if found guilty. You'd get that for overzealous use of a 911 in this country.

That's not that different, surely?

I think he's doing that because of the shame. Now his 30 year secret has been exposed, he's embarassed.

As do I. He'll probably do a Fred West before his sentence. Although the media reckon he could get as little as 6.5 years if he gets off the murder charge, which may give him an incentive to live and get out so he can find some other victim.

Something you want to confess? ;o)

You're right of course - one never knows. Using an offspring as a sex slave is sickening but I'm sure it goes on more often than we'd like to think but what shocked me was the fact that he had them right under everyone's noses and constructed a bathroom, etc in his cellar without anyone knowing.

I read today that it got to the point where his daughter couldn't have anymore children because the sex toys he used on her were so large, they caused her internal injuries. yuck

I'm disappointed that someone voted for "He's one step up from a caravanner'.

Just because the option was there, didn't mean you had to use it.

I'm hurt.

ETA: Worryingly, some of you have his book hehe

yes

Sadly though I suspect he might be put in a mental hospital rather than proper prison. In a proper prison he'd be butchered in minutes.

He'll die before sentencing, either by his own hand or of natural causes. He is 73, so no spring chicken.

sounds like he might get off on the murder charge so maybe only 8 years locked up for the rape.

I can't really understand why this story was the lead item on the main BBC TV news last night.

It happened in another country.
It isn't really relevant to us here.
It has no international significance.

Was it made the lead item just because of the salacious content of the story, I wonder?

It appears that Elizabeth Fritzl attended court this morning in Austria having eaten a full cooked breakfast.

Although somebody should have told her she still had Daddies Sauce round her mouth and down her top.

He'll be locked up in a loony bin for dangerous loonies I expect.

Either that or some lifer will disembowel him with a kitchen knife in the showers.

It's Austria, he'll go down for a long time.
If it was here he'd get a suspended sentence and retraining as a child-care supervisor!

I'm surprised this is a public trial. I'd have thought he'd have felt more comfortable in a closed courtroom. In the basement.

I don't think he'll be leaving prison in anything other than a wooden box. Whether he dies by his own hand or by natural causes (which may or may not include other prisoners getting to him) is another matter.
