A 100% turn out, and re-electing a purportedly dead leader?

They're not even trying for credibility anymore, are they?

What will we do in return? Bomb them back to the dark ages...... no, wait, I see a flaw there.

Maybe they want to force a war to get invaded then surrender so that the world will flood in aid?

Apparently they can spoil their ballot papers,if they don't like the one name that's on it - but to do so they have to go to a "special" booth.

Priceless in a humorous way, but quite scary in another - it's a country that is in a different dimension to the rest of the planet.

It does make you wonder why they even bother.

If they launch anything that could be construed as a weapon I really hate to think what might happen.

Because totalitarian regimes go out of their way to try and put a veneer of legitimacy on their rule.
But this is all posturing hopefully - it's winter, they're hungry, they need more food from us.

This will end in war as the madman will produce a weapon capable of reaching further afield.

Surely firing any rocket, wether armed or not, that interferes with another countries air space is a no go ? Or am I missing something.

It's time to write them a strongly worded letter telling them how dissapointed we all are.

They are always saying things like this.

Even when the Yanks were talking big about Iraq WMDs NK were talking about 'bathing the western US seaboard in nuclear fire' or some such.

Probably know Uncle Sam would be less bullish about a ground war in south east Asia as the last one didn't go down so well...

Thing is, it could be just a launcher for a communications satellite, but then anything that could launch a satellite could equally well carry a few re-entry vehicles, and the only way to find out the difference is to see whether anything lands or not. yikes

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/nor...

Plans for a launch were first picked up by satellite imagery, with foreign intelligence agencies saying it was a test of a long-range Taepodong-2 missile with the capacity to hit parts of the United States.
The United States said it would shoot down the missile if it headed towards its territory. Japan has suggested it might try to intercept any launch, even if the payload is a communications satellite as claimed by Pyongyang.

Lets hope the nips give it a poke then.
