Does BBC = Biased (or Brown) Broadcasting Corp?
Discussion
I rely on the BBC as my primary source of news. I cant help but thinking they are so pro New Labour its embarrasing. A FT reporter was on Newsnight the last week and she pointed out that the economic situation was GB's making - Paxman cut her off instantly preferring to talk about something pro Labour.
Paul mason, Michael Crick and Robert Peston are all excellent. In my view this is Paxo & Robinson.

Watch Newsnight this week and I suspect you will see an entirely different reaction from Jeremy (I earn well over 150k a year) Paxman. Paul mason, Michael Crick and Robert Peston are all excellent. In my view this is Paxo & Robinson.

The BBC have had a soft-left bias for years JagLover said:
It started well before Labour came to power.
I remember this. I interpreted it as a healthy criticism of the party in power, thus keeping them "honest" (and IIRC at the time the Tories were anything but). However since Labour came to power the bias has remained the same.
This is anything but healthy IMO.
The BBC is the state owned broadcaster, so yes, of course its biased. Factor into that the fact that it's a fully left wing organisation that would probably prefer communism in this country and you get your answer.
It always makes me laugh when the BBC refer to other countries state bradcasters with a sneering "...[insert country here] state television is reporting this that and the other" as if no one has realised thats exactly what the BBC are.
If you want impartial news, then you have to get your info from several places and make your own mind up. Sadley the sheeple are happy with a situation of "this is the BBC viewpoint and now its yours as well" as it stops them having to think too hard about anything other than who should be voted off their favorite reality show.
There can't be many situations these days where the BBC is someones only source of english speaking news, but I guess there could be a few.

Yes, as each generation imagines it is pro-the government of the day. It is in fact, chronically pro-British Establishment, all the way from MI6 to HRH.Zod said:
