Slimfast fatman Barry Bethell has been arrested on child porn charges.

I notice he has put all his weight back on. Perhaps if he handed the sweets out instead of eating them himself, the kids would have been less inclined to grass him up.

It genuinely frightens me how many of these "people" are around.

Slightly off topic and not wishing to piss anybody off here but is it really moral to kill someone because they're a pedophile?

I only ask because there will undoubtedly be a host of people screaming "lynch him", but is that not an over-reaction?

Not really - I'd be happy to see people killed for much less.

Fair enough!

Not sure where I stand myself. Especially when you consider that a pedophile that has done 5 years is still a pedophile when he's released. It's not like he's rehabilitated.

The guys aren't fking wired properly short of putting them out of their misery I really don't know what the solution is.

Some sort of rotating grinder perhaps.

It's not moral and it would be an over reaction.

However most parents (including me) would definitely want to launch a physical and violent assault if someone abused their children - it is highly likely that this type of assault could go too far.

I'm not proud to think this way, it's just the way it is. I don't know many fathers who would think differently to be honest.

I'm guessing you aren't a parent.

Speaking as somebody whose OH was abused by such a person as a 7 year old (her Step-grandfather) I would gladly see them all rot in hell. I see how much it still affects her to this day.

At 7 she was in courts and on Prozac. My little girl is 7 next month and I find that hard to even imagine!!!

a sick animal gets put down.

Do the same to this animal.

I can lend a gun, and am a reasonable shot should the trigger need pulling.

Anyone involved doing anything to kids should get a bullet.

I think that's irrelevent really. I'm not suggesting anything either way. Death just seems a little disproportionate to the crime from an objective point of view.

It's relevant. A parent wouldn't pose the question.

Unfortunately castration wouldn't stop the way he thinks. It might stop some urges but it is a psychological problem not physical.

As someone who was abused as a child, I personally think that prison "rehabilitation" does not work. It is a poor "fix" for a bad problem. I'm not sure whether I would prefer an island situation or a bullet.

FWIW,I would quite happily pull the trigger on the person that abused me. And I would quite happily burn the people around him that covered it up to save face.
