Oxford University debate ~ Mogg vs Robinson and others
Discussion
Neither side came out of it looking great. JRM probably came out of it looking the most balanced. Fox going straight in with Hitler references. Tommy Robinson sounding like a shouty pub bore.
Typical SU fayre walking past the camera at 1.33.49?
ETA the bit with Fox and the envelope was quite amusing.

I can't tolerate looking at "Tommy" and his stupid hateful rat face.
I saw many years ago, Akala (the black rapper) absolutely destory "Tommy Robinson" on Question Time

I saw two clips (don't know if they were all of it) but
1. A lady explaining that if it were not for security they would be killed/harmed - I am not certain that is how to win a discussion but that's lefties for you
2. A man threatening to open a picture which seemed to cause all sorts of drama

I listened to it on my commute yesterday and I don't think the opposing side did themselves any favours in making their case, which seemed to be based on 3 main points:
1. There are many Muslims that are not bad people
2. The Koran is being misinterpreted by radical Islamists, so those people are not Muslims
3. Tommy Robinson and co should be discredited and therefore everything they say is wrong
Quoting Osama Bin Laden's use of "live and let live" was just bizarre and JRM's argument that we shouldn't be suspicious of Islam because of Christianity was also a rather odd approach.

I caught sight of Lawrence Fox's nifty (okay, naff) footwear and decided they're like his politics.
Outwardly, he is all old school, acceptable and establishment. But hiding in plain site are qualities you would guess came from the wacky end of whichever side he represents and that they may not have been thought through. At all.

He would be 'beaten to death' were the words used in (1).1. A lady explaining that if it were not for security they would be killed/harmed - I am not certain that is how to win a discussion but that's lefties for you

And (2) was a cartoon of the prophet which some Muslims decided was justification to kill people.
Lovely.

Larry Fox is acceptable? To whom?! I thought everybody regarded that he had gone for the deep end?!
He's a dick IRL. Faux-country t
t who got the silent treatment in the local pub when he turned up in his shiny pickup truck with his le chams on and didn't realise he'd pissed off half of the people in there with his driving, parking, and entitled behaviour when out walking his dog, and hasn't been back since.
