There's a lot peptide companies popping up. If you move in certain circles people are aware of the fact that they are all manufactured in China, and brought over and either sold on pop up peptide websites on Social media

There's a new weight loss triple agonist drug being developed and in testing by Eli Lilly called retatrutide..and not yet available...unless like a mates sister you buy them online...made in China.

Who knows what they contain

Because I’m quite into fitness social media algorithms push a lot of adverts for peptides my way, it’s crazy how easy it is to order them if you are that way inclined.

Wouldn’t touch them personally because I’m not stupid enough to inject random substances bought online but clearly many people are.

None of these products are injectable. It also says this guy was drinking, which I m sure did him more harm than anything he might ve been able to mail order.

There’s a big difference between experimental “research peptides” and properly licensed peptide medicines.

Research peptides are commonly sold online labelled “for research purposes only” and often have limited human safety data. BPC-157 is promoted for tendon, muscle and gut healing, TB-500 for tissue repair and recovery, CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin for stimulating growth hormone release, GHK-Cu for skin, collagen and hair growth, Melanotan II for tanning and libido, Semax and Selank for focus and stress reduction, and MOTS-c and AOD-9604 for metabolism and fat loss.

The main issue is that just because “there is research on it” doesn’t mean it has been proven safe and effective for people to inject themselves with it. With online products there are also questions around purity, sterility and whether the vial actually contains what it claims.

Then you have properly licensed peptide medicines such as insulin, semaglutide, tirzepatide, oxytocin and various specialist treatments. These have gone through clinical trials, pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and regulatory approval.

There are also collagen peptides and cosmetic peptides, which are another category again and aren’t really comparable with injectable research peptides.

Also, creatine isn’t actually a peptide. It’s a completely different type of compound used as a sports supplement.

So when someone says they’re “using peptides”, that can mean very different things. Some are established medicines, some are supplements or cosmetics, and others are experimental compounds being sold well ahead of the clinical evidence.

Yes, we see quite a bit of that in GP land.

Won't vaccinate kid because 'reasons' but will buy and use dodgy (alleged) GLP1s from Sharon on Facebook Marketplace.
