German media group Axel Springer SE has agreed to buy UK newspaper publisher Telegraph Media Group for £575 million ($766 million) in cash, torpedoing a rival bid from Daily Mail & General Trust Plc.

In Germany they/we say you have to shake the blood out of the Bild before you read it! Useful for lining the bin!
Glaringly lurid and VERY weak journalism (if you can call it that).
For those who don't know, BILD is Springers "leading" newspaper..... absolute trash...

The Telegraph has been pretty trashy for few years now, to be fair.

Hard to see how it could get much worse.

Some bits of actual journalism are still really good like the Ukraine podcasts, but as for all the rest I no longer need to read any of it as I already know exactly what it'll say.

When you've reached that point in any arena, and the same goes for many posters on here, then you need a change of direction.

This may not be the right one of course.
