Given you can ram a building causing massive damage, assault security guards, seriously assault police and walk out of court free.... they may as well just leave it like that.

I'll be more impressed if there's a charge, a conviction, and a meaningful sentence.

Yup. He cleans it up, then gets deported and never allowed back. No need for the expense of a trial.

Mind you, this made me chuckle: "He [Churchill] was the Keir Starmer of his time. " biggrin

I think that's taking the easy option tbh.

This doesn't read as some "spur of the moment" piece of stupidity.

Ideally you'd have him clean it up and then deport the prick after he's served a sentence.

Suspect is Dutch, so maybe it should include a history lesson of what happened to his country under Nazi occupation.

Also a quick history lesson of some of the things the Dutch did to various people when they were able. Not exactly a shining beacon of freedom & tolerance.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on "suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage".

I wonder which human rights lawyer will get him a not guilty verdict.

Probably the worst insult ever directed at Churchill.

Lady Nancy Astor: "Winston, if you were Sir Kier Starmer, I'd poison your tea."
Churchill: "Nancy, if I were Sir Kier Starmer, I'd get one of my advisors to drink it."

Why don't these nobs go and live in Palestine and find out how tolerant the people over there would be of them.

The Gays for Palestine always make me laugh.

Now we have an election win because 'British' voters want the candidate that 'supports' Gaza to get in power.

Anne Frank was arrested and sent to Belsen by the Dutch. They exported a higher percentage of their Jews than any other nation. (Arguably purely because they had better record keeping but this prick seems to call that into question.)

Clean it up while wearing a bright orange boiler suit with "Community Service" on the back.

There is a lot of argument among historians with regards Churchill's attitude to Jews. There is strong evidence he was a supporter of zionism and that he was antisemitic. The favoured approach goes one way then the other over the years.

The idea that Churchill was loved by all, particularly the flat-cap wearing Londoner, before, during and after the war is a myth. Many despised him. A lot of what is accepted history of him is spin: he wrote the history. No one mentions Bevin's outstanding contribution during the war, and after it.

Some suggest Churchill was 'complicated', whatever that means. He was certainly an alcoholic and drunk most of the time. Was he antisemitic? Damned if I know. Damned if anyone knows. However, he was in favour of taking land from those who lived in Palestine and giving it away to others.
