"Police framed man for murder, new evidence suggests"

Reading the article it looks more like "Stitched up like a kipper" than "Suggests"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg36pknpl5o

"A total of 13 other witnesses used to support the prosecution case have now told the BBC the police pressured them to embellish their statements or lie in court."

"Phone records suggest Benguit had an alibi that discredited the evidence of the main witness and the police buried it

Police built their case around the testimony of a proven liar, even though they knew CCTV footage contradicted her story

Two additional witnesses say they lied in court after police pressured them

Four more people told the BBC that officers had tried to get them to give false evidence and they refused

The evidence of all the key prosecution witnesses has now been undermined or discredited"

Suppose that one is a little bit more overtly corrupt compared to the Lucy Letby conviction.

Remember - it’s not framing, if they think he’s guilty.

perhaps they looked into his eyes and decided he was looked guilty so therefore once he was fitted up and in the slammer, everyone else would cheerily just think he was found guilty already and not bother to consider if the verdict was problematic in the first place...

I genuinely wonder just how many times things like this have happened and never been uncovered, because I can 100% say with certainty its a hell of a lot more than people would ever suspect, because we expected our police to be "better" than the scum they deal with, only we should all know that, whilst the vast majority may still be decent people, there's far too many who are just as evil as the scum they deal with.

I have had the shall we call it “ experience “ when as a shy 19 year old biker, of being stitched up by Plod, for which if convicted would have meant porridge & a nervous breakdown
However, fortunately for me, the amazing & young legal brain, that my dear Late step Dad engaged, ripped their sham of a case to shreds, leaving them a laughing stock.

I was surprised this was this century when I opened the article.

Especially on a homicide investigation where so many people are involved.

Assuming it’s true etc.

Isn't it just the witness testimony of x2 Police that can convict someone or is it that just reserved for speeding convictions scratchchin
