Prevent and Hull City Council now have a youth friendly online game to help you find out!

https://www.shoutoutuk.org/pathways/

If you play your cards right (wrong) you can end up getting referred to Prevent where she will be steered away from extremist ideology a lady who believes God commanded her to cover her head whenever she leaves the house.

I think this is a fantastic use of public money, and I can't see any possibility of merciless piss taking or the production of negative memes by the teenagers this is aimed at.

I make no claim to being down with the kids but I find it odd that this game seems designed for a desktop rather than a phone screen.

But, hey, what do I know? Nearest thing to a computer when I was at school was a green printout with holes down the edges posted from a facility 10 miles away!

Because it's a girls name and a boys name so they don't need to do two lots of commentary just one which works whoever you "play" as.

It's simply too slow and boring to find out whether I'm a Nazi or not.

Most people are these days so I'll go for a yes.

If they want to get young people interested then they're going to need to tease heads being chainsawed off and stuff.

Or efficiency. Obviously I'm guessing. Given the typos in the screenshot who knows but why do two commentaries if you can do one.

Why waste money on this nonsense at all, is a better question.

I had a quick look and I’m not entirely convinced that those whom it is aimed at will be too impressed with the graphics and the general tone of it all. Comes across as quite “talking down”

Presumably there’s one for hard left extremists too?

I know there's an almost weird sort of denial of this on NP&E but the stats do show far right extremism is much more of an issue.

There just isn't a "far left" threat on the same scale.

Depends how you define far right.

I'm sure it does.

I'll go with how people like Ken McCallum define it I think.

I downloaded the video, it then decided that I had also shared it. Seems a bit unfair when I don't actually know what I saw nor was I asked if I would share it. That was when I stopped playing the game because I assume it would end up telling me I'm about to blow something up by leading me into certain answers.

Charlie says always tell your Mummy before you go off somewhere.
