New London crime statistics
Discussion
Some aspects of violent crime seem to be improving, although much to do in the area of phone mugging, shop lifting etc.

Trouble is it doesn't tell the whole story
Homicides in gang related violence is down, due to mostly to heavy and innovative policing at great cost by units that are about to recieve huge budget cuts or even disbandment
Domestic Violence is up as are domestic murders ... not so good
So really if you're not in a gang or an abusive relationship your risk of being murdered hasn't changed, not since last year or 20 years ago
What has changed is low level crime ... theft robbery, burglary, criminal damage, car theft which tell a very different story and one of the Police retreating from and losing control of the streets and failing to investigate or solve
But as ever ... statistics ... lies and downright lies .. they can be twisted to what point you are trying to make
So in 2026 are you at less risk of being murdered this year than you were last year .... well for 99.9% of Londoners, no
If you're in a gang, slightly
If you're in an abusive domestic relationship it's not looking quite so rosy unfortunately

Good to have some actual data, rather than the usual running scared nonsense from the right wing muppets. London is still a fabulous city to live, work and socialise in.
Yeah the right-wing are usually scared of violence and left-wing are renowned for being tough.Pmsl
Honestly, did you think before posting that?

Clearly gone over your head, but it's Trump and Farage talking about how dangerous London is, while under Kahn's mayorship violent crime is coming down. Pmsl

It’s Trump 101 - repeat the bulls
t ad nauseam and hope that if you keep repeating it then the hard of thinking believe you. And if somebody suggests that the facts don’t agree with what you’re saying blame fake news or the MSM.Condi said:

it is.But let's not celebrate the headline data of very violent crime that (fortunately) most will never witness. How about anti-social behaviour and so called "low-level crime"? The actual data there will be hard to source too. Lies and all that.
