Could UK win it in 2026 if every country apart from Israel (which isn't even in Europe) pulls out on conscience grounds; or will Israel wipe us out by deploying the IDF choir?

Maybe the Eurovision organisers can save the day by awarding a new special peace prize to Netanyahu before the comp starts smile

Joking aside, I would like to see a Palestine national choir/band compete if Israel are included. West Bank is after all closer geographically to Europe than Israel.

More likely Israel will. They came 2nd last year and won the public vote (which has been strong for them for the past few years). It suggests the viewers don't agree with the boycotting.

I don't think they should be allowed anywhere near music festivals.

Ah, quite! Obviously, I meant a non violent Palestine national choir/band. Not the scumbag Hamas militia who sparked the mess off with their hideous act.

Geography fail. No part of the West Bank is closer to Europe than Israel. The clue is in the name.

Well it's closer to Europe than Australia, so geography alone is not the deciding factor.

I suspect any part of Palestine would indeed win the popular votes should ever there be a eurovisin style phone in involving them and Israel.

However I also suspect this thread is about to be flooded with all the entrenched views from the isareal thread, so I'll leave it there.

(But I doubt the uk will win)

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, but are you comparing something that happened in May of this year with something that might happen in May of 2026? And if so, do you think that's wise?
