Prisons are full.

It will be interesting to see what James Cartwright gets having been found guilty of rape and murder.

Sentencing is on Friday 8th August.

Yeah it happens all the time in Clownworld.

Prisons are full, 12,000 foreign people in British Prisons. Police are too busy to come out for burglaries etc.

We spend £8m a day on migrant hotels.

We've had about 30,000 migrants (that we know off) cross the border this year so far. 50% up from last year.

Clowns call 'racism' if you say anything's wrong - so unfortunately people are forced to vote Reform,

Well done.....

Good country isn't it lol

"The defendant, of Bluebell Way, Colchester, claims to have picked up Mr Siobanu’s belongings after the altercation by mistake"

"By mistake." He should be up for perjury not walking away. We are truly past the point of no return.

I mustn't have clicked the right consents as the only part of the story I could find had little more information than the title of this thread.

I guess if I was a Reform voter I probably wouldn't be too interested in the detail so maybe that's who it's aimed at.

The thought of someone failing to get jail time for stabbing someone is pretty disturbing so the article has achieved its goal.

I'd be interested to read the judges comments but who wants to read that boring st.

I'm sure there are sound legal reasons why stabbing someone in the neck is less serious than an inflammatory tweet. Different cases, different outcomes. Guidelines were followed etc etc.

You do realise that reform is made up of many ex-tory politicians that are responsible for many of the problems you cite. I'm sure this time they'll get it right /sarcasm

What’s your point? Farage has said many times that half of the Tory’s should join Reform and the other half should be in the Lib Dems.

Well yes

The Tories had many MPs who were not actually conservatives. In fact that was one of the aims of the Cameron project to transform them, supposedly to electoral success, but now apparently to oblivion.

If someone genuinely has political beliefs that match with Reform then why should they not join them?

Reform will build more prisons and also send criminals overseas to serve their sentence.

This is sensible. Criminals should not be let off because there isn't enough prison space.

What I don't get is that if you're serving a whole life term, why do we need to expensively rehabilitate. Ship them to the Congo, let them while away their days in a secure facility at minimal cost.

You are drinking straight from the Farage Koolaid. A quick check shows that in 2024 87% of the prison population in Eng & Wales where British nationals.

Perhaps if British Nationals stopped committing crimes we might have more room.

But I suppose its easy to point the finger at migrants. It's all their fault.

Blaming "all them mygrantz" is an easy way to win popularity and divert us from thinking about the bigger issues. One would have to be idealistically minded to think that none of the people coming into this country caused problems but to put most or all the blame is just as bad.

Now I don't want to be rude but if you are going to be stupid, I am going to point it out.

There are just over 100,000 prisoners. Which means 13% left would be 13, 000... So, uh, you agree with him that there are 12, 000 migrants in prison.

Also of course, there are over 60m British Nationals, how many migrants? (I truly have no idea, not bothered to check) therefore what is the % of each population in prison? Statistics can be rigged of course but you know, maths counts.

Well if we've got enough crims here already then we really shouldn't be letting any more in or let them stay if they do manage to get in should we?
