BBC : North Korea's Kim slams 'serious accident' at warship launch

The BBC said:
State media reports did not mention any casualties or injuries as a result of the incident.
I rather think there will be a number of casualties as a result of this, probably due to anti-aircraft guns being employed a point-blank range, given how pissed off Kim Jong Bunter is about it.

I'm guessing it should be tied up alongside the dock, not flopped on it's side covered in bunting...

That looks like a bit more than ‘tipped off balance’ as reports said.

Kim wants it all fixed, ship-shape and Bristol fashion by the Workers' Party Central Committee meeting in late June, and presumably has given some helpful motivational pep-talks to the officials responsible.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually manage to do it, given how helpfully motivated those officials are likely to be.

Was this their new destroyer the BBC article reads like there are two new ships. Either way how does a ship in a dock just tip over

Could have been worse, Kim - the front could have fallen off.

Was it made from cardboard or a cardboard derivative?

I don't even think they worry about doing it. They will just be arrested and shot or have their heads chopped off. Anyone who thinks they're likely to take the blame should be looking at defecting to keep their heads attached to their shoulders. And probably take their family with them.

Luckily, North Korea is outside the environment.

Tricky these sideways launches - even I.K. Brunel had a problem shifting the Great Eastern into the Thames. There is a suggestion that in his case the two parts of the launching ramp were at different heights. Maybe Kim should check too.

Well as the leader, ultimately it is his fault.
