USA can export 13k tonnes to us, we can export 13k tonnes to the USA.

What's the point? Shouldn't we just keep it?

Am I being thick or is this as ridiculous as it sounds?

Well if one side is shipping 13k tonnes of dicks and balls for cheap burgers and the other is shipping 13k tonnes of prime Angus fillet…

Consumer preferences or prices for equivalent goods may make transactions in both directions economically desirable. The US may value the perceived quality of certain breeds of scotch beef for example . Since we don’t have a communist command economy we should help our businesses maximize returns on their product.

Can. Doesn’t mean either will does it? Yes it’s as ridiculous as it sounds but have you seen their president and heard him speak.

U.S bred Waygu might have a nice price effect on the UK market.

Personally I was more interested in U.S shellfish like Lobster and Crayfish but that would be off topic.

I'm pretty sure we haven't relaxed our position on hormones or chicken hygieiene. I'm sure some US farmers will be compliant and a few years later there'll be a scandal.

You won’t know. It will be the cheapest kebab shops importing it and they won’t be labelling it.

9 out of 10 high street doner kebabs contain beef and chicken. Some have also been DNA tested and found to contain pork, donkey, horse and goat.

I'd love to believe this, can you provide any evidence other than your assertion?

Sound like what we do with our lamb. Exports lots of it so we have to import it from New Zealand.

I googled what meat is in doner kebabs and had a read through and watched a couple of videos.
