I’m sure it’s not Russia. In other news, Poland confirmed today that Russia burnt down (arson) their major shopping centre last year.

SKY news someone said their went to five different stations before they found out what was going on so spent two hours stranded im central London". what, so you didn't find out at the first, or check the news on your phone, or ask someone, or just get on a bus or three?

happened to me,, 2003? I was at London Bridge station in the evening rush hour all the power went out "everybody must leave the station immediately " no explanation. I walked a bit, found a bar with the lights on near the elephant and castle (maybe it was that?) had a beer or two then got two busses home.

strange that the same sort of thing happened im NY several months earlier.....

good experiment to see what happens I suppose.

I was caught by this, a few stops outside of Uxbridge on my way to Leicester Square.
We sat at an overland station for a bit, I was watching a Voyager episode on my phone, so couldn't have been that long then we were moving again.

When I got to Green Park they announced that Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden stations were closed. I ended up jumping off at Green Park and walked the mile past Buckingham Palace to Charring Cross.

We will have to wait a while but I would like to see the police rule out the link between this and the disgraceful act at Starmers house.

I was trying to get a tube yesterday evening. Station closed, lots of people staring at their phones, thus I waited for a bus. Digital display said 5mins, it turned up 15mins later.

I kept checking my phone and apart from the TFL site saying lots of delays, no mention of power outages or closed stations.

Conclusion:

Despite living in an age of instant news and updates, TFL are fekin useless biggrin

I found the answer the other day and forgot to post. As per the link tfl say they don't use social media “due to challenges with algorithms on those services delaying when messages are seen”. This can often result in “non-chronological timelines” – meaning that passengers only receive information after the disruption has ended.

The other problem is that their own site crashed under the weight of people trying to find some information a to what was happening.
