Indeed, something exceedingly positive, for such a humble act.

Sometimes it takes foreigners to show the value of stuff that is taken for granted in this country.

There used to be a group of lads that drank in Old Welwyn Hertfordshire that could never agree on which football match to visit for a day out/piss up as they all had their own personal favourites, they decided instead to follow a team that none of them had really heard of and so began an annual pilgramage...

There is often far more that unites than divides us.

Not that we can always tell.

What with the political and religious BS, that so often ends up just being shouted around.

To the detriment of people for whom just getting along is most often the order of the day.

I’m one of them but that doesn’t make swisstoni wrong. There’s value in sports, small teams like this bring people together, they’re quite often central to communities. That shouldn’t be taken for granted and we should cherish them. It’s quite a nice story.

Where did I say that everyone cares about football?

I don't follow football but enjoyed reading the article - a nice "fun news" story amidst a lot of bleak headlines.
