It would have been better all round if the "victim" had just been taught how to ignore the gas bag on WhatsApp.

As far as escalations go she was hardly fearing for her life. And if 7 WhatsApps of a woman farting and grinning are tipping you over the edge...

There was probably more to it than a few farts, but that is the bit that allows the media to make a few jokes, hence what we read.
