Died aged 100, always seemed a principled and hard working man

Yes, he had a good innings.

A decent man on the surface.

Good guy. End of an era.

The guinea worm thing blew my mind.

RIP.

A loss. There is a very good documentary, Jimmy Carter, Rock and Roll president worth watching. Hunter Thompson was fond of him, nice article here...

From what I have read because I cannot remember he did not have a great presidency. However it was what he did afterwards which was quite extraordinary.
He used his fame that comes with the Mr President name to selflessly do good for others and dedicated himself to this end.
A truly remarkable man.
If there were more like him around, the world would be a far better place.

Sounded like a decent, honest man with no pretensions (e.g. moving back to his old bungalow).

His presidency was derailed by the Iran hostage issue, but it certainly looks like he achieved an awful lot in his post presidency years.

First US president I clearly remember, having been born in ‘71.
