RIP Rubber Duck.

This was another of his finest moments imo.

This was my first thought. 4 legends on stage together

Interestingly different verses sung by each artist compared to the studio version.

Willie Nelson (91) the sole survivor of the group now, surprisingly.

The crew of the nostromo is certainly getting smaller.

RIP... He was great in pretty much every film he was in.

Are you confusing him with Tom Skerritt? Either that or I need a parrot.

No it's me that needs the parrot... I was. rofl

FFS... I know they're different actors as well, but always confused them as a kid... And it appears I still do.

Kris was great in Top Gun wink

Don't worry - I do the same thing with Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck!

Early in his career he wanted to be known as a writer.

He had in fact studied at Merton College, Oxford and gained a Master's Degree in English.

After leaving he joined the military, his family where military, he became a captain, was a helicopter pilot, and qualified as a ranger. He gave it all up to try to make it as a song writer. His family disowned him and it not known it they ever reconciled.

For his first years in Nashville before he made it be swept floors in a studio.

Agreed, watched it the other day.

Effects look dated of course, and obviously a fairly low-budget affair, but a really clever story.
