"prior police contact with the victim"

Meaning they attacked him every time he went to the Allotment and nobody stopped them.

Poor guy.

I anticipate very light sentences. frown

Pure evil, I'm stunned, I'd lock the parents up as well to send a message, drag up your children and expect consequences.

Find a tweet they made, and it'll be easy to lock them up!
No tweet, expect holidays in Kenya with Xbox.

These rats will be mollycoddled and analysed where it will doubtless be found that they were mistreated at home i.e. no x-box or smart phone etc.

They will be released after a few years in a 'secure institution' with a change of identity and lifelong anonimity as the Bulger killers were.

These animals should be euthanised for what they have done but no, the poor darlings were victims of 'the system'.

This country is well and truly fked.

Yes, of course I did.

We don't know who they are, or why they did this. We don't know anything yet. It makes sense to postpone the hysteria until there's more info.

5 people don't get arrested for murder on a whim. 5 kids even more so.

"Police said the man had been near the park's Bramble Way entrance at about 18:30 BST when he was seriously assaulted by a group of young people who left the scene before emergency services arrived."

Agreed.

How has a group of kids as young as 12 got involved with something, like this? It's surreal.

We don't know why they did it? Are you saying there is potentially a good reason that an old man got beaten to death when out walking his dog? (And the culprits then ran off.)

FFS. How ****ed up is the world when an elderly man gets beaten to death and people's first thought is that he probably deserved it.
