London fire service declare a major incident at a fire at a block of flats.

Apparently the building “has a number of fire safety issues known to London Fire Brigade”.

There is an interesting and informative Radio 4 series about Grenfell cladding and the impact of diluting Building Control regulations and some dubious behaviours by manufactures and dodgy building practices.


The cause here has yet to be ascertained and it appears the Fire Brigade has evacuated everyone.
