What would you suggest is the correct issue to attribute blame to, and what steps would you take to reduce the risk of future incidents?g4ry13 said:

What would you suggest is the correct issue to attribute blame to, and what steps would you take to reduce the risk of future incidents?Bild is calling it a terrorist attack, 2 men and 1 woman stabbed in the neck now dead, nine more similarly attacked are in hospital fighting to stay alive.
Police say they have no description of the suspect which will obviously make it difficult to find him or her. Suggests they were covered with a balaclava or similar maybe.
Germany has had a similar stabbing problem to the UK recently and react similarly with political apathy, little long term action and no ducks given so long as the victims aren’t their own family.
Awful

I can't see anything in the linked report to intimate the nationality and ethnicity of the perpetrator, yet some jump immediately on the immigrant bandwagon.
No wonder misinformation is so rife in the internet.

According to Bild, witnesses described the attacker as being a young man of Arab appearance. Police have not issued a description of the suspect but appealed for information, including photos and videos, to be provided via an online portal.
Will society never learn about the dangers of jumping to conclusions, and the subsequent issues of social media judgement.
Sitting all smug that we predicted the circumstances is not a reasonable way to promote unity.
It neither serves justice, nor does anything but stir the misbelief that these incidents are anything but outliers.
While we are fed a narrative, there are billions of people in the world with millions doing fked up things everyday all over. Sighting that it's another one of those <insert colour> immigrants with their religions serves no purpose bar disunion.

"Germany's top security official, interior minister Nancy Faeser, recently proposed toughening weapons laws to allow only knives with a blade measuring up to 6cm (nearly 2.4in) to be carried in public, rather than the length of 12cm (4.7in), which is allowed now".
FFS Anyone considering committing an atrocity like this is going to carry whatever knife he wants, he is not going to comply with the law on what length he can carry.

I saw the spike in the chart in 2003 then read that includes 173 victims of Dr Harold Shipman. My memory is not what it was, I didn't realise there were so many victimsGassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
