I wonder is this sort of tackle route cause to protect women or is it a case of window dressing attack words we don't like to be seen as doing something

Seems like they are targeting misogyny resulting from religious and cultural beliefs, but somehow the article only mentions incels and Andrew Tate?

It’s an unpleasant ideology that has in the past led directly to violence, and tries to recruit other followers to the cause.

The methods used to spread this are similar to the types of terrorism we are familiar with, so I can see why the government wants to see if the same approaches to combat it are appropriate.

The article on the BBC suggests that'll include Islamist and Far-Right ideologies too.

Misogyny to be treated as extremism by UK government

So it reads as one of several ideologies being looked at around how it's dealt with.

When you see the rise of people such as Tate and when you see some of the appalling attitudes to women on display you can see why it might be considered an issue.

It sounds like they finally figured out what a woman is. So that's good news, at least.

I wouldn't be so optimistic when it comes to the far left, they could include misogyny to anything that identifies as a carrot, the minister for hurty words is on it as we speak as a priority.

"Treason" = anything the Sovereign State didn't like.

"Terrorism" = anything the Woke State doesn't like.

I think the devil is in the detail here.

This isn't something specific to misogyny it's simply that misogyny might be covered by similar policies to other extreme ideologies.

There's an explanation in the BBC article smile

Surely fundamental Islam as practised in some parts of the UK absolutely meets the threshold for extreme misogyny?

Or do certain religions and cultures get a free pass on this one?

I'll believe that when I see it.

They wouldn't even stop kids getting raped to protect cultural beliefs.

It’s extremism, not terrorism , only The Telegraph framed it that way and it is incorrect.

You should change the thread title and the hyperlink title.

The people currently being sentenced certainly aren’t working class. Scrounging class perhaps.
