With everything going on if the Head of the Met can’t lead by example what hope nobody is above the law ? Surely It’s a time for cool heads and leaders that can lead and stay calm as a minimum he should apologise?

For what offence what necessity criteria if applicable would require him to be arrested?

The original (now deleted) post suggested the ‘offence’ was criminal damage.

They walk among us.

No. It shows that he doesn’t have the temperament to hold the position he does. A snarky question or two will come your way in that job.

Did he really need to touch it? Could have literally walked round.

I think it just shows how much pressure the police are under. I wonder if a member of the public did that with one of these police "video units" and pushed their camera out of the way if that would be ok?

So do we need a thread on three tier policing now??

Personally when I saw the article I thought the copper needed putting in his place for acting high and mighty.

Yes, he is "top UK cop" so could be a bit high and mighty, but no-one likes anyone who actually acts high and mighty.

He's not above the law, and if someone pushed a copper out of the way to make them drop something, they would have a complete fit

Do you mean ". . . fewer than 3 digits in your name . . . " ?

No - 'fewer' is used when you are able to count the number of things you're referring to, and you aren't able to count the number of numbers in their name because there aren't any. HTH.

(I'm ignoring your use of digits because I'm assuming you're trying to finger me)
