Edit seems to be an incident limited to the area near Meols Cop station which is quite a way from the sea front.

Will have been incredibly busy on the front today, lovely weather and second week of the school holidays.
Hopefully its nothing too serious as there will have been lots of kids and old people around.

BBC are reporting a woman who lives in Southport, specifically not that close to the road in question, has had a few Whatsapp messages containing speculation. The BBC are reporting this as their latest update on their top story.

Terrible news!

I wonder how long until the mental health issues excuse is rolled out.

Well, quite. But you've to assume it's pretty bloody grim.

What else would it be? Only someone with severe mental health issues would want to do something like this.

Local news reporting that a man entered a children's daycare setting.

Now one child reported dead and 10+ with serious injuries.

There is no rehabilitating that kind of sickness. Absolute

This is so sad. Dreadful for the families and kiddies involved, maddening for the rest of us. What on earth is the world coming to when we have to even consider to protect childrens clubs from maniacs.

If the perpetrator was "known to authorities" or has mental health issues and a danger to society, there need to be some serious questions about why we are letting dangerous people out in the community. Conjecture I know.

Indeed, visceral overwhelming hatred.
