The next 5 years with Labour?
Discussion
Do we expect…
A serious reduction in boats crossing the channel?
Seriously reduced NHS waiting lists?
No st in our rivers?
Next day appointments to see a GP?
An abundance of NHS dentists?
A serious reduction in food banks?
An upturn in growth?
Or, Labour Party blaming the Tories.
I’m not put out to see Labour win this election, it was time for a change of government, but I don’t see much ‘Change’ at all.

Yes. It will all happen instantly, just like everything was perfect on 13/12/2019 and bloody Putin and Covid then ruined it. We had utopia back then. A serious reduction in boats crossing the channel?

Or more realistically, you’ll see many things improve, rather than just continuing to fall apart as they have done for the past 5 years.

If underfunding is the problem and funding is easily available, which is what we've been told for.... Well for 14 years.... Then that can be fixed in a single emergency budget immediately.Or more realistically, you’ll see many things improve, rather than just continuing to fall apart as they have done for the past 5 years.
Of.course if the Torys weren't evil after all and, in fact, there's a limit to what you can spend.... Then there would be no immediate fix.
Be interesting to see which it is.

We have swapped one globalist stooge for another with a different tie.
Why is anyone expecting change?
When you conspiracy loons talk about globalists, why don't you just say what you mean....Jews. Why is anyone expecting change?
I'm guessing you're not a fan of the North London Metropolitan elite either.
I'm no Labour fan and like most this will be based on historic experience.
My expectations are low, cant see how on earth he will solve illegal immigration without some harsh action. He's definitely not the man for that, neither is the party. Other than that I see steady decline as they borrow more and waste it on diversity and inclusion, net zero along with increasing benefits for the work shy.
Oh, and taxes, higher taxes by any means possible. Especially from the motorist and anyone who works hard for a living that has had minimal success as that needs to be shared!
Best of luck all. Hope nobody who voted for them comes back moaning in 6 months time.
Well at least its Friday and I finish at 6

Exactly this. I don't recall the Tories saying that they were eagerly increasing NHS waiting lists, or food banks, or illegal immigration. But I do recall them having a sizeable majority, and the highest tax take since WW2. And yet none of those problems was fixed, which implies that they just didn't have access to the magic wand that Labour will now wave. Four Litre said:

I don't disagree but the trouble is that one could write a very similar post if the Tories had won last night. My expectations are low, cant see how on earth he will solve illegal immigration without some harsh action. This country faces some issues (NHS, Immigration to name just two) which have no pleasant solutions. It's real gun-or-knife stuff and, politically, no party can wave a magic wand and solve them.

I’m guessing they might spend it a bit more wisely than giving Rwanda £350m, or really any of the £130billion that the Tories have pissed up a wall. Even if Labour piss half of that amount away that’s still £65billion that can do a lot of goodhttps://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/tories-squa...

I was referring more to the Davos crowd that Starmer seems so enamoured of. I have no idea if Kuddly Klaus is Jewish or not.I'm guessing you're not a fan of the North London Metropolitan elite either.
As to the "North London Metropolitan elite" - what is it? It sounds like an escort agency.
