Lots of reports coming out that he is missing after a clifftop walk... Drones up looking apparently.

Doesn't look good as he's been missing for a day now. Assume he was healthy before he left and didn't have anything wrong with him?

Hope he's found ok, rather like his approach to things.

Really shouldn't be yomping in that heat.

Hopefully he will be found well, pissed up in some taverna.

Bit of a weird one this.

He's always been one to push himself on silly experiments, maybe he took a walk on a cliff too far out of his depth?

If I am looking at the right beach, it's only about a mile back to Pedi, albeit on a path that look very close to the cliff edge:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Pedi,+Greece/Sai...

The article mentions he was heading to "the centre of the island" which if correct looks to be around a couple of hours further on foot.

Doesn't bode well that he has been missing for this length of time.

It was reportedly 40c that day and he set off for his stroll at 1330.

Mad dogs and English men.

Sad to hear this. frown

I hope he's ok but echo those who say it's not looking good.

Not ideal strolling weather.

Yeah local police saying it's a hard place to hide so he's either left or come to harm. Hoping for the best, my Mum watches his stuff religiously & he always seems up for trying things out.

You certainly don't want to be walking far in that heat, unless hardened to it.

I tried cycling in it back in 2022(?) when we had that crazy heatwave and after a few miles decided I was asking for trouble and rolled to the pub instead.

Looking at Google Maps, some of the route looks a little tricky but nothing treacherous (although it's not possible to virtually walk the entire route via Maps).

If the authorities haven't found a body already, that seems odd-- the route appears to be a relatively constrained path and it's not a particularly large area to search.

Maybe, but the island's only seven miles or so across the longest stretch. I doubt it's that unless he had some underlying health condition, or really pushed his luck by not having a drink that day, taking no water with him and trying hill reps.

Bit weird they haven't found him yet. Not good.

That's just his presentation style and the reality is it gets through to people which has benefitted many.

He took stuff that was dismissed as the thoughts of loonies and made entertainment programs out of the ideas which demonstrated whether they were actually based on fact.

Surprise surprise - many of them turned out to actually make a positive difference.

The continued lack of news is concerning.

Yes, hopefully he drank one too many ouzos and is lying under a table in a taverna somewhere.

I love his stuff particularly where he "outs" idiotic TikTok trends. His video on 24 hour fasting is what got me into it. Forget busting your arse in the gym or running or cycling.

Respected him ever since he swallowed a tapeworm in the name of medicine lol.

Admire his quirkiness in contrast to most other fairly boring media doctors.

Seems a very strange decision esp with his intelligence to go off walking in extreme 40degree+ heat without a phone and water.

Hope he is found soon fighting fit but unfortunately doesn't look good atm.

But he could have walked back to town in 1/2 hour and then headed off in any direction for 5 hours before the alarm was raised.
