One thing I regret (okay one amongst many) is not looking after my teeth.

By the time you realise it’s probably too late.

How does the body know when to stop, in either size, length or quantity, if it is getting instructions from the drug?
Will I have to get my wisdom teeth out again?

How did your body know where to grow them when you were getting your adult teeth?

I have no idea, guessing the drug would be an injection into the area where the tooth needs to grow

But if they can grow teeth then they can grow bone, cartilage and so on?

This sounds like it is specific to adult teeth. Humans have two sets of teeth because a child's jaw is too small to fit adult teeth.

According to the link we have an inhibitor that stops us growing more teeth, this drug blocks the inhibitor so new teeth grow.
