Some of it will stick, some sadly won’t. It won’t matter anyway, the penalty will be small, he’ll appeal and drag it out and scream it’s all unfair and continue the grift. Idiots will still believe him and vote for him and give him money.

Maybe. He's clearly guilty of the charges, as if that matters. My view is America generally doesn't put wealthy white guys in jail. But If they do, the morons get a martyr & if they don't they get a victory lap. For now.

It's part of his campaign now, and will continue to be, irrespective of the outcome

I've no idea what the guidelines say about sentencing for the 34 charges, if convicted I think a fine is likely, gaol time unlikely although if Merchan puts an ankle tag on him I will rofl. The US justice system does not like to put rich people in gaol and he's a rich person.

Yes he did it but he's saying its not a crime. And not jail time. And not an unknown thing to do. But the judge became a judge on a ticket of "get Trump"

Lawfare indeed, but its going to make Trump stronger regardless

Convicted and fined.

I suspect that he will be found guilty but will be fined rather than imprisoned. He is then a convicted criminal, time inside would probably have him playing the victim card but a fine and a conviction will not (so much).

And you can be guaranteed he will never pay the fine, as that is as good as admitting he is guilty amongst his moronic fan base.

He's as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo, but I think he'll suffer no proper consequences.

My concern is that his really big crimes, which are stealing and possibly selling state secrets and attempting to steal the election he lost are not going to be tried until after this year's election. If the USA is insane enough to elect this lunatic, and I think it is, then things could get VERY interesting there over the next few years as he carries out a retaliation campaign whilst continuing to get more unhinged.

Yes, I think it's OJ Simpson II. Though he did later get 9 years in jail. Here's hoping.

I've said in the main thread, I think some of the charges are proven, there's a possibility if they want some leniency of the 10 charges relating to the cheques the fail sons signed could be not fully agreed against trump - although the conspiracy was there.

There's no chance of acquittal, the evidence was too strong, documents, multiple testimonies all backing it up, whilst the defence tried to paint Daniels as a wanton woman and solely attack Cohen to fulfill trumps desire for revenge.

trump offered multiple defences, that were all disproved. He didn't sleep with Daniels, Cohen was a rogue person, trump knew nothing about it, all debunked with testimony and documents, texts, tweets, emails...

Believe it or not, it's trumps first time offence as a criminal trial, so does have a chance of leniency in sentencing, but then there's his conduct in attacking the judge, the jury, getting his GOP stand ins to break the gag order for him that goes against him. I do however believe he will be found guilty on the majority of the charges, so he will be a convicted criminal.

I doubt he'll get jail time, because no prison will want him. No Warden can guarantee his safety, is built to accommodate his secret service detail he's entitled to and there's the political implication because he is standing - although that shouldn't be a factor. Either way trump will appeal and it will drag on as he'll be out on bail.

Large fines, but he will be a convicted criminal.

There's no chance of acquittal on the evidence.

He may however still be acquitted, that's the point.

Those hoping he'll go to prison are going to be sorely disappointed.

Agree, the chances of that would be vanishingly small.

Prison time for this is doubtful. I don't think many are expecting that, though.

The upcoming cases, if we get them, are a different story. The stolen documents case is extremely serious as is attempting to steal the 2020 election. If he's not held accountable for those then it's difficult to imagine the USA recovering from the trump disaster.

The longer it goes on, the bigger the disaster for him when it all falls apart. And possibly the US. Or it could end up as a Jimmy Savile type thing with him going before that point.

It's bks though. The guy's been a supreme court justice since 2009. I doubt he likes Trump much, but that hardly makes it a vendetta. It's absolutely a crime.

Depending on the jury he probably gets convicted. It'll 100 percent only be a slap on the wrist and a fine unless he does something monumentally stupid though.

The classified documents case has the potential to be much more serious.
