WTF?
A British woman has pleaded guilty to being part of a global monkey torture network.
Holly LeGresley, 37, from Kidderminster, was a participant in a private online group that was paying people in Indonesia to kill and torture baby monkeys on video.

I’m really tired of platfom owners being able to hide away from the utter horror that they facilitate and profit from.
Some politicians still can hardly get their heads around the internet at all, some decades after it has become part of life.
You only have to see what passes for tough questions in some parliamentary committees to see that these are not the people to be keeping on top of anything like this.

I've seen a few of these stories about monkey torture on the BBC and elsewhere, and I don't believe them for a minute. The idea that some Trump supporting redneck in Alabama went on the Internet and recruited a load of Indonesians to torture monkeys just sounds completely made up.
I looked into it awhile ago when Adam Britton got arrested, it's very well documented and there's several groups of people constantly trying to shut down / report these thingsJuanCarlosFandango said:

What do you think is made up - the people are completely innocent and the police/CPS fabricated the evidence? Or that the people in Indonesia are sending back faked videos of them doing what was requested?JuanCarlosFandango said:

And today's winner is...What the actual fk, I mean what the actual fk is wrong with some people.
Also how the fk does someone come up with the idea... What were they sat having a cup of tea one morning and the thought popped into their head 'You know what I'd really like to see? Baby monkeys being tortured. There's got to be a market for that'
Book me a place on the first Musk Spacelines trip to Mars, I don't care if it's a dusty, airless sthole, it's at least 100 million miles away from s like that.

Where is it well documented? The original BBC report is here
https://www.bbc.com/news/extra/Iot1dIWVS5/hunting-...
It reads more like the plot of a lurid crime show with a few screen shots than a well documented report. The brave work of a former lapdancer and a freelance transcriber who are brought together by their unlikely investigations. Reads like total pap.
