If you mean the white SUV, it looks like a Hyundai Tuscon.

There are electric car chargers in the car park there, but it’s a bit early to apportion blame for the fire.

I’d expect the company to take a few different steps to keep the business running. They will move some of the sorting done at Avonmouth upstream to their main hubs. They will use the depots closest to Avonmouth to take over some of the sub depots serviced by Avonmouth. There’s a site in Swindon which could be finding itself rather busier than normal. Thirdly, they’ll take new warehouse space and try to get up and running as soon as they can. That’s not easy but any big business has disaster plans.

As they’ve said, there won’t have been much on site. The parcels go out for delivery overnight and in the morning then the trailers full of parcels from the hubs arrive in the afternoon, evening and through the night for sorting. In the middle of the day the depot will have been at its emptiest during the 24 hour cycle. Obviously there will have been some parcels there but it’s nothing like it would have been if the fire broke out 3am.

Good businesses might. This is Evri.

Yes I know, I deal with couriers every day so know how it works, it was more a tongue in cheek comment.

Although, knowing Evri, anything could happen biglaugh

If it was Evri then all the parcels would have been safely stored in the neighbours bin, on bin day.

Yep, pretty distinctive rear light clusters.

However, that's just one car. Given their recent record, the likeliest cause of a massive fire is going to be a Land Rover of some description, isn't it? hehe

If it's an Evri hub then the culprit could be a parcel containing some cheapo imported product with an Li battery in it and nothing to do with any of the vehicles.

It's just how Evri get rid of their "lost and damaged" parcels.
