Security Incident at Birmingham Airport

Birmingham Airport has cancelled all flights due to an ongoing security incident
Shortly after takeoff an Aer Lingus flight squawked code 7700 for an emergency onboard, and returned to the airport. Reports are that a suspicious package was found in the galley area.
The aircraft is currently parked at the far end of the runway with emergency services in attendance - all passengers and crew have been evacuated. Rail services on the line adjacent to the aiport have been suspended, and Marston Green station near where it is parked has been closed.

The alarm was raised after the package was found to contain actual edible food, and therefore not something that had any legitimate business being in an Aer Lingus galley, said a spokesman.Reports are that a suspicious package was found in the galley area.
