According to Sky News, dozens of Iranian drones are now en-route to Israel.. Dangerous moments as IDF say drones will arrive within hours.

Cruise missiles launched now apparently. Was reading that it would take the UAVs 9 hours to reach Israel. Cruise missiles take 2 hours and ballistic missiles 12 minutes. The UAVs would surely be picked out of the sky unless the Iranians are Hoping the cruise and ballistic missiles cause enough chaos for them to slip through.

By Middle Eastern standards, this drone attack seems more like a strongly worded 9 hour statement than a war, unless I'm missing something

So… will *something* take out the Israeli air defence mechanisms ahead of the drones arrival?

Are we about to witness the start of a very significant string of events that lead to a massive war?

The USA have stated they will step up and support Israel if Iran attack. We are seeing this now. Therefore what level will the US step up to support? Given they’re stuck being unable to support Ukraine I’m struggling to see how they can support Israel.

If they don’t provide support then that’s a green light for Iran to attack whoever they want. It’s also a green light for Putin to have a go at a NATO country (or countries).

The fact Iran instigated the attack by Hamas on Israel last year, it feels like this was their plan all along….

Jordan closed their airspace a couple of hours ago, ostensibly citing GPS jamming as a hazard to navigation, but I suspect somebody told them that anything moving through the area in the near future not wearing the correct IFF was likely to be evaporated without warning.

Probably, would explain why the US have reigned in support for Ukraine as they will now have to deal with Iran, they were probably expecting this.

Russia-Ukraine will ramp up shortly, as in within the next year, where Ukraine will be defeated.

China will probably attack Taiwan.

It'll be a global conflict, maybe not everyone gets involved.

Enjoy whatever luxuries you take for granted while you still can.

It would be best if the West didn’t intervene on Israel’s behalf. There’s no doubt that Israel’s right wing have brought this on themselves. What did they think would happen if they started launching air strikes on Iranian embassies?

Israel is in danger of becoming a rogue state at this stage. Why *should* we enable their reckless behaviour?

I think this is a pre agreed retaliatory strike to allow Iran to keep its vow.

It's a negotiated, symbolic face save with no real harm done

Any tips on securing bathrooms against 100kt air burst at 15 miles? - I'm guessing that's what Exeter will get.
