Sorry but who one earth looks at someone in full stormtrooper armour and even considers that his blaster is real.
Are they going to complain because Thor is walking around with Mjolnir

Someone who hasn't seen Star Wars probably.

You and I know what Star Wars is but if you don't and you don't know what a stormtrooper is it's not a million miles away from some of those nutjobs you see going all "active shooter" in full-on body armour in the US.

Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise.

Still, it's a bit of a overreaction from the Roz and transport Rozzers to "escort him home".

I'm not one of those "gone to the dogs" type but this does seem to be a reason why we can't have nice things.

Wasn't it essentially a Sterling SMG with the magazine removed in the original movies?

Isn't he a little short for a Stormtrooper?

The Stormtrooper's gun is based on the Stirling sub-machine gun.

I would be genuinely amazed if you met someone who couldn't recognise what a storm trooper is even if they haven't seen the films. Especially on a train to Dundee.

I wouldn't have thought that there are many people that have not heard of or seen a Stormtrooper or Darth Vader, even if they have not watched the films. I think its just someone being spiteful, they see someone doing something that they enjoy and just want to ruin it for them.

You just reminded me I haven't seen Rampage for a while.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1337057/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_7_nm_1_q_rampage
Love the scene in the bingo hall where no one take any notice of the heavily armoured guy with two submachine guns as he casually munches on a sandwhich and sips his iced tea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiGRbF-GXvU&ab...

I sort of know this guy, met him at a few conventions I've been working at or had a stall with the figure painting started up.

Taking any "cosplay weapon" to any event is a bit f minefield nowadays, all gun type weapons need to either have bright colours or a red end or be bagged until used in the photoshoot.

while we all know what these props are and are stunned to hear "Normies" have no idea what some of this stuff is, many forget its a niche hobby, and even star wars isn't universally recognised.

Telling him to not wear the armour is a bit much, but the rifle prop, especially if its black, should really have been in a bag during transportation, he's been doing it long enough to know the rules at a con, let alone away from the venue.

I agree anout the armour, what could they possibly charge him with if he wore it again and what else don't the police like people wearing.
