Depravity in Edinburgh
Discussion
This rumours around this before it was made public were poo-pooed as fiction but it was all true and the rumours are that the father here was one of the inspirations for Begbie in Trainspotting.
Hammers found stuck in skulls, nails driven through eyes, slogans burnt into heads with blow lamps.
And although not reported here, some outlets claim it was over extorting cash from vulnerable benefits claimants….not a big money deal gone wrong.

Not in the same league but our local caravan family have just been busted, one of them recorded loads of animal torture, really odd stuff
Should never see the light of day again, would save everyone a lot of bother
I went to school with one of their family, well they turned up a few times a year. One is on the run currently from Hampshire POPO

Young Leith Team I understand- the perpetrator being close to 70, but still linked to the youth gangs from the 1960’s.
Good grief. Still mentally in a gang. The leader of the notorious and feared 1980s Leith gang was who inspired (if that's the right word) Irvine Welsh's 'Begbie' in his novel 'Trainspotting' and Danny Boyle's movie.
There remains 'gang' culture in many parts of Scotland.
Back in 2008 a survey had claimed 1 in 5 of all 13-year-old girls in Edinburgh alone said they were in a 'gang'.
