Supercar Blondie is starting her own super/hypercar and yacht auction site.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-29...

Apparently she has already got $100m of consignments. Seems a fairly crowded market at the moment.

Listing a Tesla Cybertruck alongside a Mercedes One.

I can see this becoming somewhat of a confusing site.

Hydrogen fuel cell car.
Like an EV hypercar, but more expensive to run, assuming you can find somewhere to fill up.

Like it’s going to need more fuel than it takes to drive it from the delivery truck to the claimant controlled garage…

I think Hypercars are more like paintings or very expensive wine or whisky they dont actually get used they are just things to have. I suppose at least a £5m painting gets used if its hung on a wall etc

So the "gap" in the market they feel they're serving is exclusivity and rarity? Becasue they feel that many billionaires don't watch auction houses, they go by YouTube videos their mates send them?

I dunno, I'm not a billionaire but I'm fairly certain they do go to auction houses if they want to buy very rare things, which is exactly where other billionaires sell those things when they want to get the most money for them.

I've no doubt they certainly know a fair few wealthy people between them but once that dries up, does her brand carry that much weight for serious collectors?

Maybe sellers will want to be on her channel so if you a rich UAE or KSA resident and have a 1 of 1 hypercar you might want her to promote it for you

car auctions might be the next "pod cast". World and his dog has a podcast brand these days. Think it's already at the point that they're just interviewing each other on each other's podcasts. Maybe with this they can eventually just sell each other's cars to one another.

Pretty much this. The market for £1m plus cars is big globally but v total car buyers is small I guess it allows some who like to show the world how rich they are what they have to sell

She has 110 million subscribers & 2 billion monthly views! What sort of cash does that generate?

For anyone also wondering 'Who the f**k is Supercar Blondie?', from the link: "The influential YouTuber" apparently - you're welcome.

Those viewing figures aren't accurate, certainly not for YouTube. She's no where near that, may be her potential outreach across all platforms MAYBE but even then it sounds high.
