I think I first heard about this 10 years ago, and that is likely just because I’m relatively young. It’s been known for ages.

If it was a truly real threat I am sure something would be done about it.

It’s more a case of nothing has been done because nothing can be done I think

Standards are slipping - you forgot to mention that the harbourmaster who directed the SS Montgomery to anchor at the Great Nore Anchorage off Sheerness before she grounded on the sandbank which broke her back is suspected of being a Labour supporter, and hence it's all Labour's fault, and also you omitted to predict that the thing will spontaneously exploded if Labour win the next election (although I suspect you'll be the one actually exploding)

This is exactly the type of thing trans wokists will home in on.

There should be a news embargo on it.

Without a sufficiently robust anchor, she drifted onto a sandbank, was unable to move off it and when the tide went out the lack of support broke her back.

Couched in terms of concepts you're more familiar with, if you think about it, it's very much how the Liz Truss tenure as Prime Minister went.

and the rest.

Why's it such a problem anyway? A ring/barrier of sunken hardcore would suppress the globalwipeoutsupertsunami no?

Grounded on a sand bar as eharding said , then when the tide went out, the ends of the ship were probably no longer supported by the water, so it snapped in half.

Edit - EHarding already explained it better!

Canvey island would be first to get it.

So it's not all bad news really...

Unstable BLM bombs threaten to swamp Sheerness because of racist seagulls.
