Lived through the sleaze at the end of John Majors government thinking "this is as bad as it gets!".
Roll on a couple of decades and I'm left thinking how wrong I was.
Sh*t is everywhere whether it be House of Commons, London Mayoral, Scotland, Wales......
Everyone is just out for themselves no morals no backbone. Can't they see that the country is rapidly going to the dogs!
I just wish that I could buy each one of them one way tickets to Rwanda!

Rant over.

The OPs self named ‘ rant’ is totally accurate. Never before have we seen such low calibre politicians.

I agree but I’ll play devil’s advocate.

Never before have we had such a dumbed down electorate and you get the politicians you deserve as a result. Most people who now vote are elderly, younger people are not using their franchise in the same numbers.

Obviously I’m generalising and there are plenty of intelligent voters. I’m not that cynical. But if you don’t like politicians you know where the electoral booth is. I’ve no time for people who complain and don’t vote.

But who are you supposed to vote for? In reality it's a two horse race. Both horses are st in their own way.

Are you suggesting don’t vote? I’ve had that row on here and think it’s nefarious to suggest I don’t when the fker suggesting it will.

Apologies for that aggression rising but you’re not supposed to vote for anyone. You have a choice.

The system’s not perfect but participation is always a better option.

I don’t get bogged down in party politics and am willing to vote for the man/woman before rosette. But I’ll use my vote and think very poorly of people who suggest I shouldn’t. I’ll recommend everyone votes.

Participation for some clowns to take my vote as approval as opposed to just being the least bad option? fk them.

To obtain a high position in government since the B word, your main qualification has been to tell anyone within earshot that the B word is really, really great repeatedly.

Anyone who didn't do that was shown the door despite possibly possessing levels of competence and decency that might be an order of magnitude larger than the parroting vegetables.

Doesn't explain why everyone else is so cruddy too though.
