In a car park fire, a vehicle fire would be strong candidate.

Was there at 6:30am this morning to catch a flight but saw no sign of this fire, so it sounds a little exaggerated?

As was I. My owning an EV is nothing to do with my taking the piss out of posters who post fking idiotic things.

I went to a fire at a Gatwick remote car park in the late 90s. It was on the east side of the M23.

The airport FB attended and ran out of foam in minutes, but the fire was still there. The only fluid available was from a slurry pit. It doused the fire very quickly but set rock hard. The insurers were not amused.

There was an animal rescue centre in the fire area that wasn't on mains anything and had a massive oil container for heating. I was told by the AFB bloke that it 'might' explode. Concentrates the mind.

This was pre electric cars.

The nationals became interested and our press and PR unit took over calls. The most popular questions, 'Where is the fire?' The reply was, 'In a remote car park.' This was always followed by, 'What's on fire?'

The SB M23 was closed from the Gatwick junction to the next one. There was a lot of smoke. This one looks like a bit of tinder spontaneously combusting.

What accounts?

All I can find are conspiracy theory wibbles on ttter and similar. Give us an actual link to a credible news source that’s saying it’s a Tesla. Not “my brother’s cousin's mate’ uncle’s dog works in Gatwick catering and so it out of the corner of his eye”.

Oh dear, someone has had the full sense of humour removal operation. I hear the recovery period is long and miserable.

The same accounts which blamed the Luton fire on a hybrid LR, despite photographic evidence to the contrary?
