Surprised there’s been no mention of this in NP&E?

Do I head to the conspiracy thread, or have I missed something?

I can't quite get my head around how the words "you just want to hate all black women because she's there" apparently have nothing to do with being black or being a woman.

The state of that (just for you Rusty) hehe

It's not racist, just "wrong". Apparently.

Irrespective of whether you agree with her politics, or even like her, it is a grim thing to say. A couple of black Conservative advisors and Kwarteng have called him out.

Abbott may be an anachronism now, and past her sell by date, but she was very much a trail blazer - the first black female MP, and she paved the way for the likes of Kemi Badenoch, who I suspect you won't find offering any condemnation. I hope to be proved wrong.

She used to be my MP, and I met her several times and I liked her - she was very much a constituency MP and both approachable and funny. Over recent years I think she has gradually become a bit of a dinosaur, but that applies to plenty of Parliamentarians, of all parties.

If the donor in question paid £10 a year into the party instead of £10m I am sure we would have seen a very different outcome in terms of response...

The guy is clearly a muppet, albeit a wealthy one. There's plenty you could say about that useless sack of st Abbot without even having to go near her race or gender. Silly arse.

Good to see Badenoch calling that filth out.

Tory donor alleged remarks were racist, says Kemi Badenoch

Seems to be more than Sunak or his official spokesman can manage.

How serious will it be for their finances if they are forced to give back the £10m?

Oh I'm in full agreement. How the fk can that be, in any conceivable way, an innocent statement. What an absolute ahole of a man, self made or not.

She then says that we should give him space for forgiveness. The tories have 10 million reasons to want that.

Hester has apologised but he hasn't apologised for saying something racist he's apologised for "rude" comments.

So it doesn't seem entirely joined up for Badenoch to say that what he said is racist and to welcome his apology when his apology isn't because he agrees that what he said was racist.

Interesting to know the source of this 'information'.

Is there a recording or transcript somewhere of the alleged comments as even the BBC has said it hasn't been verified.
