Whats going on?

Kennsingson Palace release a photo of Kate on Mothers day, which is then withdrawn and a kill notice over digital manipulation claims

Four international photo agencies have retracted a picture of the Princess of Wales and her children over concerns it has been "manipulated".

The image, taken by Prince William for Mother's Day, was the first of Catherine to be released by Kensington Palace since her surgery in January.

But, Getty Images, AFP, Reuters and Associated Press have pulled the photo - noting an "inconsistency in alignment of Princess Charlotte's left hand".

and AFP issued mandatory kill notice

I have seen the image, definitely "shopped", still wondering why? I have shot countless weddings and the largest piece of editing I have ever done, was to remove a cold sore from the bride's face.

I think the only possible explanation is that Catherine has had Princess Charlotte’s left hand transplanted into her abdomen.

The only question is how Musk paid for it without being traced and what he plans to do with it.

Princess Charlotte’s left hand does indeed look a bit off, but check out Prince Louis’ right hand - you try crossing your fingers like that….

Well this certainly helps to dispel the lizard shape shifter rumours and doesn't cause any additional ammo for the internet conspiracy nutters. rolleyes

How hard is to release a photo, and give it a good look over before you hit 'send' FFS

The foliage in the background is said to be questionable for early March.

Whole thing is bizarre. Do Kensington Palace think we’re all idiots and wouldn’t notice? Are they themselves the idiots? Looking like both at the moment. biggrin

To me, it looks as though they released a poorly edited photo, which is against usual protocol as they like to maintain the impression of unfiltered / unedited imagery.

Having said that, it's almost certainly a case of the best shots of kids being combined into one.

The more intriguing element is the version I've seen has Kate sans wedding ring.
It must be the hand/rings issue. She’s wearing no rings on either hand in the photo on the BBC news site! Bit of a faux pas by William - he needs to brush up on his photoshopping skills.

Clearly took her rings off when doing the dishes 5 mins before the pic was taken…

Seen rumours it’s AI laugh

Some odd stuff there. Charlottes cuff, white door cill on the left has a misalignment etc.

Don’t see why anyone felt the need to release a photo just because it might have been expected.

Her life is no one’s business. Why release a heavily shopped image?

I wondered that? Is that what you get with those “best shot” photo things the phone makers are bigging up at the moment (how annoying is that advert?)?

Is this one of those new google phones where they combined stuff into the best image?
They've released photos taken on phones before

They need a new media manager, who should release the original, and or other, photos used to produce such a horlicks.

Don't know who is ultimately making decisions at the moment, but they are doing a spectacularily bad job of it.

It's obvious what's happened. They wanted a photo of her with all the kids smiling but they all hate each other so she had to sit with each one separately.
